Catching up!
It has been a long time since I have had time to sit down and type about the kiddos! Having two children definitely fills your day with activities, dirty diapers, drink spills, crayon messes and much much more! Being a stay at home is not a piece of cake! When it was just Brayden and I the biggest challenge I had when staying at home with him was finding enough things to do to keep us busy and not die from boredom. Having Brayden and Taylor has definitely changed that!
Taylor is turning two in a few short weeks, wow how time flies by! She is working on learning her colors, counting, ABC's and other various things. She loves playing with her kitchen things, her babies, Little People and writing/drawing pictures. She is also a busy little bee. She loves to make a mess right behind mommy while I am cleaning! She goes to Rolly Pollies and love to sing all the songs, jump on the tumble track, slide down the moonbounce and run around with her friends. I also started a playgroup with a few friends, we meet up a 2-3 times a month and let the kids play. She is not very good at sharing and tends to get upset when I try to encourage her to share...that will come in time:) She says the cutest things, one in particular is "Get back here now!" She says this whenever daddy leaves for work or I lay her down for a nap:)~
Brayden started Kindergarten this year and is getting ready to celebrate his 6th birthday! Kindergarten...wow when did that happen? He is reading, writing, adding, subtracting, telling time and soo much more. I had contemplated home schooling him for the first few years to keep him thriving but Joey insisted he goes to school. And while Brayden is enjoying school, he has yet to learn anything and is starting to forget what I have taught him:( He is currently playing soccer 3 times a week. He is doing very well this season, so far out of 3 games he has scored 5 goals! All worries I had about him accepting another child was ridiculous of me. He absolutely adores his sister, they are attached to the hip and love each other so much. It melts my heart to watch them together and see how he tends to her needs and wants...making sure she is happy and having fun is his job, so he says.
I have adapted into becoming a soccer mom, something I dreaded being called. I have also become the classroom mom for Brayden's class. Which is a nice position to have, that way I have more opportunities to go into the class to volunteer. I am still in college, however, I have not taken a class since February, my next class starts next month. I have been busy planning the kids birthday parties...which of course is getting a bit crazy, but I shall blog about that later on in the week...
